Introducing the PSA Dagger
The Glock-style pistol market is crowded, but none match the value and versatility of the Palmetto State Armory Dagger. Available in Micro, Compact, and Full-size variants and aimed squarely at CCW users, range enthusiasts, and first-time gun owners, the Dagger gives you a durable, optics-ready 9mm platform that punches far above its price point.

🧪 Range Report
Shooting the Dagger was an absolute pleasure and a pleasant surprise. It's features and functionality FAR exceeds it's retail value. It's a modern striker fired weapon. The weight is "just right" and the grip is very nicely textured. Optics ready and both myself and my wife found the controls to be easy to reach and operate. The Dagger was dead reliable at close range and is very suitable to be a primary every day carry.
We shot the Compact Dagger in an indoor range at 7, 10 and 15 yards using a variety of range ammo and defensive ammo. Blazer 115gr, Winchester ("whitebox") 115gr, and Federal Champion Brass 115gr all performed similarly at 1"-2" with a slight edge to Blazer whose groupings by the best shooter among us were literally "same hole." These were all single shots with a Holosun 407C mounted on the pistol.
For defensive rounds, we shot Hornady Critical Defense 100gr, Federal Premium Hydra-Shok 135gr, and Sig Sauer Elite Performance JHP 147gr. As expected, the Hornady was easier to stay on-target as this round was superbly light in recoil. The pairing of this round with the Dagger was a winning combination for "same hole" types of groupings all around. Nobody in our shooting group exceeded 2" groupings at 7 and 10 yards, one of the group slightly exceeded 2" with the heavier Sig ammo.
All in all the Dagger was comfortable to shoot for each of us, and a superb performer for a small pistol at any price point.
- Recoil: Soft and balanced, minimal muzzle rise
- Trigger: Slight pre-travel, breaks around 5.5–6 lbs after break-in
- Accuracy: Sub-2" groups at 15 yards with quality ammo
- Reliability: 0 failures in a 500-round mixed magazine torture test
“The Dagger does everything a Glock does, for half the cost—plus it looks better.”
